This years’s Anime Expo was my 13th (lucky?) time attending and the biggest one so far as stated by several news sources. Although the line for pre-registration badge pickups was a breeze (thanks Eventbrite!), event lines were still a major headache. The AX staff did their best by moving many lines outside and providing (mostly) shaded areas for lineup areas, but “Line-Con” as it is affectionately called was still an issue for many.
But enough of the gloom and doom. Overall this was a great event and I got to see many old friends and some great people who are truly passionate about anime and Japanese culture in general. Special thank go out to everyone at the Anime Expo Fans Facebook group who were great at keeping us all up to date and informed about the the goings on of this awesome event. As the avid photog that I am, I took many a shot of the event. here are some of my favorites:
